Just got married in August and I did not change my name. Can I file joint tax return with my husband? - name change for tax return canada

You have the following options file, both jointly and separately by each one of you file as married notification (MFS). Sometimes you have to pay less tax by filing MFS general. No matter how you file, the name must be based on the explanation of the "Tax the file name with the Social Security match. When you enter the name of her husband, has the Social Security Administration by submitting Form SS-announce 5th You can get the form and show some information .ssa.gov/pubs/10127 http://www. html # 3

Hope this helps.

Dear Black: Contact the Department for Social Security and rename. It only takes a few days. If this fails to change the file name that is on your card now. The IRS does not recognize the number and the first 4 letters of the surname. (only Soc Sec)

Yes, you can share files! Congratulations!

Yes
In return, the name will be exactly like the SS card.

Of course. Make sure the name on your statement agrees with the name on your Social Security card. Not true with the names of her husband.
